Dear Brand, You Are What You Wear

by | Dec 9, 2019 | Dear Brand

Dear brand,

It’s all about perception: people will judge you just by looking at you. And, as a consequence, they will treat you the way they think you are, just by the looks. It might seem unfair, but that’s just how things work.

Dress for the job you wish to have, not the one you have right now, but the one you really, really want.

So, if you want people to see you as a professional, confident and elegant brand, dress like that.

On the other hand, if you want people to perceive you as a young and relaxed brand, just put on a t-shirt, some old fashioned jeans and a pair of sneakers… it will suit perfectly.

in fact, if you dress yourself up really well, with those impressive high heel shoes you have, but you’re aiming for a volleyball teacher’s job, you probably won’t give the right impression, and so you won’t get the job. I know those are amazing and elegant shoes, but high heels don’t really shout out “volleyball teacher”. Instead, why don’t you put on some good sneakers? That way you will be perceived as a “sporty” and practical brand and that really shouts out “volleyball teacher”.

Choose wisely in a way that people create in their mind the image you wish they have – and go for it.

A hug,

José Matias
